Ram Riches – Poet/M.C./Actor/Activist
Ram is an Internationally known artist. He has featured on KRS-ONE’s, “Stop The Violence Tour”, opening up for The Teacha! He has appeared on several radio shows, including Tiffany Bacon’s Whispers In the Dark (WRNB 107.9 FM), Robert “Woody” Woodard’s Barbershop Talk (WURD 900 AM), and Fay Claud’s Pan – African Dialogue (WDAS 1480 AM). He recently appeared in the pioneering navigational documentary, “250 Miles Crossing Philadelphia.” Ram plays a henchman in the movie: “Must be the Music” starring Charles Dutton, Tasha Smith, Black Thought, Jada Kiss and many more. He played “Reem” in the dramatic stage play, “Choices.” He also starred in the short film: Son of Hip Hop. He has Headlined, Featured and Performed over three hundred shows. He has a Hip Hop/Spoken Word CD titled, “Shine”, and three books of poetry. He is a certified Frator Heru Institute Rites-of-Passage Facilitator and has experience in motivating and mentoring youth and adults as a substitute teacher and an after school instructor.
